If you can’t get enough of what I’d say is probably Oblivion’s most awesome faction questline (yeah, I’m talking about the Dark Brotherhood), then buddy, Oblivion Remastered has got something wild for you. Picture this: a whole new radiant contract system. Like, 100 fresh targets to take down if living that Black Hand life is your thing. Seriously, it’s like a hitman’s dream buffet.
And oh, if there’s one thing to see these days, it’s how you get to be the hunter here. None of that hunted hero nonsense. You know how mods sometimes mess with the whole vibe of a game? Not these ones. They’re flipping the script, okay?
This jewel — or maybe it’s more of a shiny dark, sharp dagger? — is called ‘Dark Brotherhood – Infinitum,’ crafted by ColdTyrant. Total sithis-approved vibe here. Remember when they whipped up quests for players to go full-on Mythic Dawn or embrace necromancy? Yeah, same folks. Love me a good theme stickler.
So, in this wicked creation, you get a hundred new repeatable contracts. It’s what they call a radiant quest system, but I’d just call it infinite chaos. All while the original questline sits there untouched, like that piece of cake you pretend isn’t calling your name from the fridge.
Oh, and get this — you’re killing off new NPCs with random names like ‘Diligent Father.’ No guilt trips about wiping out Cyrodiil’s population, thank goodness. Got to say, running off to Cheydinhal Sanctuary just became way more interesting. ColdTyrant has roped in Creeper, our favorite weird Morrowind merchant, to hand out these kill orders and goodies.
Things do get a bit… questionable? Besides earning 500 gold per hit, you’ve got two “Dark Tokens” to play with for Creeper’s Reward gacha Roulette. Yep, a gacha wheel. Out of all things in a Dark Brotherhood mod. Spin those tokens to see if you score something rad like a weapon, a magic quiver, or maybe just ten potions.
This mod is like a strange love letter to both adventurous killers and my pals who groan every time they deal with yet another gacha. Feeling lucky or just wanting to cause some chaos? Go grab the mod’s requirements — UE4SS and UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector, from Oblivion Remastered.
Alright, I’m off. Happy Oblivigachaing! Don’t miss our other Oblivion Remastered mod stories, including an interview with the rad person who tweaked the world just a day after it hit our screens. Crazy, right?
