During Upload VR’s summer game fest or whatever they call it, Triangular Pixels popped up with some more bits about their next big thing—Unseen Diplomacy 2. Yeah, it’s a sequel. Somehow they’ve been cooking this thing for what feels like forever, but finally, we get a peek at its funky room-scale adventures. The OG game in 2016 kinda paved the way for this sort of setup.
So, this new trailer dropped, right? And it’s showing off all this kooky room-scale stuff where you’re like jumping around your room and acting all spy-like. They said it’s hitting Quest 3 and SteamVR headsets later this year, fingers crossed.
What’s wild is they’ve got this room setup where it sorta “redirects” you. Sounds trippy? Yep, but cool too. They’re adding a full-on campaign this time, which is nice ’cause the first game was fun but, let’s be real, a bit of a short ride.
The devs, Triangular Pixels (rad name, by the way), lay out the sequel like this: You’re a spymaster, running your own secret agency. It’s set up with that retro-future vibe from the 90s, complete with all those chunky gadgets. You sneak into enemy bases, grab intel, break their plans, and Houdini your way out unnoticed. Or try to.
Get this, players really dive in—crawling, rolling under lasers, dodging here and there. You get your hands on gadgets like wire clippers, throw in some disguises, maybe even a blow dart if you’re not feeling the sneaky-sneak route. And they’ve got some fancy system where the game changes up levels and stuff depending on your space and actions. Keeps you on your toes, I guess.
But yeah, no firm release date yet, just a vague 2025 sort of promise. Till then, you can hit that wishlist button on the Horizon Store for the Quest or on Steam. Go nuts.
