Alright, so, here’s the thing. Activision kinda just, like, forgot about Black Ops 7? Well, maybe not forgot, but they haven’t mentioned it since that teaser back in June. And, yeah, that was at the Xbox Showcase. You remember that, right? Maybe we were all expecting more.
Anyway, they said, “Hey, we’ll talk about it more this summer!” but — spoiler alert — they didn’t tell us when in the summer. Classic, right?
Suddenly, here we are, July’s almost done and zip, nada, nothing new until now when they decide, "Oh hey, let’s talk in August." Gamescom Opening Night Live, to be precise. Write that down, August 19, mark your calendar, whatever. Guess we watch at 11am PT, or, if you’re across the pond, 7pm UK. Go figure.
A bit weird, isn’t it? Call of Duty usually gets its own big reveal bash. Like, all the spotlights on it, king of the castle kinda deal. This time, it’s just part of the show. Hmmm, interesting shift, right?
No clear clue what they’re showing us on August 19. I mean, could be just a teaser, or maybe they’ll splurge on something juicy later — maybe end of August — who knows? Throwing out wild guesses here.
Oh, by the way, they’re teasing this whole near-future setting. Plus, the co-op campaign returns — nice little nostalgic twist, huh? And, fingers crossed, they keep some storyline vibes from Black Ops 6. Fans are, like, totally biting their nails for that, I bet.
Official release date? Nope, not yet. But November sounds about right, at least if you’re on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S. There you have it.
