I’m all over the place here, but stick with me, okay? It’s Saturday, July 5—don’t ask why I remember these things—and there’s a bunch of deals that might just light up your weekend if you’re into gadgets. Seriously, don’t miss out.
So, first up, Samsung gaming monitors. What’s the big deal? Well, Woot’s slashing prices like they’re going outta style. Imagine the Samsung 32″ Odyssey G8—QD-OLED tech, 240Hz refresh rate. I’m not even pretending I know what all of that means, but apparently, it makes colors look real, like, true black. And then there’s the 49″ Odyssey G9, which is curved. Yeah, curved. $999.99 down from $1899.99. Sounds like a steal to me, but what do I know?
Oh wait, SSDs. The Crucial T500 2TB SSD’s going for $124.99. I guess it’s fast—7,400/7,000MB/s or something—and you can dump all your PS5 games there. Like 2 terabytes is a lotta space. Remember when a gigabyte was big? Anyway.
Now, about games. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is at $49.99 this weekend. If you’ve got nothing to do (or avoid doing), this could keep you busy. Some review said it’s refined the open-world thing pretty well. Ever play a game and get lost just wandering around?
Oh shoot, Borderlands 3 on Switch for $17.97! Imagine getting into it before Borderlands 4 hits. It’s got all sorts of extra content, too, like Moxxi’s Heist blah blah… it’s a lot.
Switching gears again, Metaphor: ReFantazio’s strategy guide is on sale for $43.56. People must love reading guides, I guess. It’s chunky—almost 600 pages. I wonder if anyone actually reads all of that.
And hey, Steam’s Summer Sale is wrapping up. They’ve sliced prices on tons of games, including those big-name RPGs. I love RPGs. You can dive into Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy for under $6. Total nostalgia trip if you were into comics.
Last thing, I promise. Donkey Kong Bananza’s up for pre-order. If you watched the June Direct… man, it was wild. DK’s back and he’s got Pauline tagging along. Something about heading to the planet’s core. If that doesn’t sound like an adventure, I don’t know what does. It’s tearing up Amazon’s sales charts, so grab it before it’s gone!
Okay, that’s it. Hope that was chaotic enough.
