“Death Star Sabotage” is the next big thing in Fortnite. Happening on Saturday, June 7. Yeah, mark that date. It’s the big finale of this Galactic Battle in Chapter 6, where Star Wars fans get their lightsaber fix.
So, what do we know? The live event kicks off against ol’ Emperor Palpatine at 2 p.m. EDT. Somehow, these time zones always mess me up, but hey, that’s when it starts. Just don’t rely on me for your clock needs, okay? Ah! And two hours before, you can pop online, zoom around in an X-wing or maybe an Imperial TIE fighter. Fancy, right?
Oh, don’t show up late. Seriously, these things usually last about 20 to 30 minutes. Blink and you’ll miss it.
What’s coming up? Well, as the grand finale for the “Galactic Battle,” we get to see if the good guys can stop the Death Star Superlaser from wrecking the Battle Royale Island. I’m not spoiling, but expect some epicness—like cutscenes and flying around. Maybe blasting things, ha! You can team up with three buddies if you’re feeling social.
For those of you tired of seeing Jar Jar Binks’ face (like, isn’t one meme enough?) or “Skibidi Toilet” Darth Vaders, your break is almost here. A new season is on the way. June 8, probably. I guess it is what it is, right?
