Sure, here it goes.

Okay, so there’s this game, Pragmata. Ever heard of it? Yeah, probably not, because it’s been like a ghost since… what, 2020? Sheesh, I can barely remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. Anyway, Capcom told us about it back then, and guess what? Was supposed to be out in 2022. Spoiler: it wasn’t. Classic move, right?
All this time, they popped up every now and again like, “Hey, Pragmata’s not dead!” but never with any juicy details. Then in summer 2023, Capcom’s like, “Forget it, we’re delaying—indefinitely.” Indefinite. The favorite word for procrastinators everywhere.
So, fast forward to now. Pragmata’s back, hopefully not just for another cameo. They dropped a new trailer at Sony’s State of Play—called it First Contact. Not even kidding, makes it sound like an alien invasion or whatever.
Two main folks in there—Hugh and Diana. They’re kind of like a space buddy duo? The gameplay shows them solving puzzles, shooting stuff, sneaking around like cats on a hot tin roof. It seems they’re trying to bust out of some space station. Can you imagine? Like, “We’re just trying to go home!”
Oh, PlayStation Blog spilled the beans that we’ll get to control both Hugh and Diana simultaneously. Teamwork makes the dream work or something, right? Diana hacks, Hugh shoots. Kind of a cliché but I’ll take it.
Capcom gets it, they know it’s been a bit of a running joke bringing Pragmata up like some urban legend. The new trailer doesn’t even give a firm release date. Just casually says 2026. Had me chuckling when they crossed out 2022 and scribbled in the new date. Like, “Scout’s honor, it’s for real this time.”
Fingers crossed, we’ll be playing it on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S when—or if—it finally lands.
