I mean, here’s the deal with Argath. Guy really doesn’t like poor folks, right? It’s like he took a masterclass in hating but, you know, aimed specifically at people without cash. Odd, if you ask me. Anyway, so recently Sony did one of their State of Play thingies, and boy oh boy, some Switch stuff sneaked in.
So—ah, where was I? Right! Nintendo stuff! There was this NVIDIA leak before (kinda wild leak, by the way), and guess what popped up? A remastered version of Final Fantasy Tactics! Yes, the one from back in the day, 1997/98 on the PlayStation. Mark your calendar for September 30; that’s when you’ll get to dive into the Ivalice universe on both the Switch and the fancy new Switch 2. Now, I’m not one to get all emo over games, but the nostalgia? It’s real. Oh, and just to mess with your brain a bit—follow-ups were on GBA and DS, but the original on Nintendo? Nope, first time. Go figure.
Now, speaking of surprises, Digital Eclipse has got this new, uber-bloody collection. Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection! Coming 2025 for Switch 1 and 2. Gosh, remember those arcade days? Ultimate version of 3, multiple takes in one set—yep, dreams do come true. Fingers crossed for more games, though.
Switch 2 getting some spy love too! The Bond game—007 First Light, they’re calling it—showed up. Mark 2026 for that one. Seen it back during April’s Direct thing.
And golf, of all things! Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots is dropping on September 5, and guess who’s swinging clubs? Pac-Man! Yeah, chew on that for a while.
Oh, and before I forget—Game Kitchen and DotEmu are unleashing Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on July 31. What’s rad? The OG NES soundtrack legends, Keiji Yamagishi, Ryuichi Niita, and Kaori Nakabai, are back crafting more tunes. That soundtrack is gonna slap, as the kids say.
I got distracted there—typical me. But seriously, so much to unpack, and my brain’s kind of fried, but isn’t that the charm?
