Okay, so here’s the deal today—big news for all you Honkai: Star Rail fans out there. I mean, it’s like a carnival when the game’s been leading up to this. The much-hyped collaboration with Fate/stay night is finally here. Yeah, that one. If you’ve been living under a rock, that’s the free RPG everyone’s buzzing about.
So, like, Patch 3.4 just dropped about a week ago. And it’s not just about slapping some visual novel stuff onto the game. No, no, much more than that.
I remember back in June—yeah, June!—there was this developer livestream. They told us what was coming, but trust me, even with the heads-up, it’s still exciting. Fate/stay night brings these new guest characters, and who doesn’t love new characters, right?
Oh, by the way, this collab’s sticking around for a while. No end date yet, but whispers say it’ll last till November. Maybe longer. Who knows?
So, Saber’s making an entrance as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction hero. Cool, right? And then there’s Archer, also 5-Star, but this one’s Quantum/Hunt. Archer is free—just log in. Easy peasy. But for Saber, yeah, you’ll need to pull. Oh, and Archer comes with enough goodies to hit level 60 straight away. Nice touch.
The launch tossed in four special banners—Saber, Archer, their light cones, and all that jazz. No boosted rates for 4-star folks or weapons here. A bit weird? Maybe. But you can nab Saber’s light cone after a hefty 200 warps. Yep, you heard me.
Now, something I found curious—none of these Fate characters got English voiceovers. Not sure what’s up with that, especially since MiHoYo has been pretty firm about the whole US voice actor strike. Odd choice, but here we are.
Oh, and there’s this new Trailblaze Continuance called Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. Sounds intriguing, right? For like the next 30 days—shakes out to August 11—you can dive into a special combat event. Limited-time rewards up for grabs. And if you miss it? No sweat, it’ll roll into the game’s Conventional Memoir. Though, some rewards are time-sensitive. Tick-tock!
Earlier, they tossed in more characters—not from Fate though. Remember Phainon? NPC for a bit, now bam, a playable 5-Star with Physical/Destruction powers. Cool stuff.
As for reruns, phase one dropped with patch 3.4 on July 2—brought back Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle. Then come July 23, Firefly takes a turn with a shiny new outfit, plus Jingliu and Blade reappear.
Oh oh oh, and patch 3.4 beefed up some veterans like Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade. They’ve got some slick new mechanics now. And Jingliu’s rerun—they totally timed that upgrade well.
Anyway… where was I? That’s pretty much the scoop. Dive in, enjoy, and maybe you’ll be as hooked as I am. Wild times ahead!
