Sure, here’s a reworked version:

Alright, so I was watching this Creator’s Voice thing from Nintendo—no clue why they call it that, but anyway—and Naoki Hamaguchi, the guy behind the Final Fantasy Remake stuff, dropped this bomb. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is gonna hit the Switch 2. Yeah, you heard me. The PSP’s bigger, cooler cousin is getting some FFVII love.
Now, if you’re like me, you still remember the original on PS1. 1997, man, what a year. But this Intergrade thing? It’s like the PS5 souped-up version of the 2020 remake—the one from PS4, remember? They added some shiny graphics and this Intermission DLC… with Yuffie. Yeah, that ninja girl. I could never figure out her story completely, but she’s in Midgar doing her ninja thing.
So, Intergrade’s on PS5 and PCs right now. But Hamaguchi’s all pumped ‘cause apparently—who knew—a Switch 2 can handle Midgar in full glory. Full specs, he says. Imagine playing that on a train. I mean, who plays RPGs outside? But hey, people surprise me.
And the kicker? GameChat’s coming with it. You can yak with your buddies while running from Shinra or whatever. I’ve got this image in my head of folks on the subway yelling strategy tips and scaring commuters. Hamaguchi’s dreaming of buddy-buddy vibes with Nintendo through this. Kind of a big deal, maybe?
It’s just Intergrade for now, but he kinda hinted—no promises, though—at more FFVII goodness for Switch 2. Could be Rebirth or whatever they’re cooking up next.
Oh, and remember, FF started on Nintendo, went all PlayStation for FFVII in ’97 (man, those CDs were revolutionary), but now—maybe—sorta coming home? Times change, don’t they?
Anyway, that’s the scoop from Verity Townsend—she’s that writer in Japan, cracks all the gaming news. Used to work at Automaton West. Cool, right?
