Alright, folks, buckle up — this isn’t your typical piece. I stumbled across this whopper of a sale (you know, the kind that makes you want to spend your weekend gaming instead of being productive). The 2025 Atari Studios Publisher Sale is on at the Nintendo eShop. Yep, 30 games for the Switch, slashed prices. It’s a gamer’s paradise! Kind of. Or maybe I’m just easily impressed.
Anyway, this sale wraps up at 11:59 PM PT on Sunday, May 11, 2025. I set a reminder on my phone, not that I need more games to distract me. Who knows why we do this whole rush-and-buy thing, but here we are. There’s stuff like Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration (sounds grand, doesn’t it?), Breakout Beyond, and even Mighty Morphine Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. Remember how intense that show was? Man, nostalgia overload. Then there’s RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster, and The Thing: Remastered. So, plenty to pick from.
Hold up. Let me just list some games here — in my own words, of course. Maybe you’ll find a gem.
– Akka Arrh — marked down to $5.99 from $19.99. What a name! Sounds like a sneeze, doesn’t it?
– Asteroids: Recharged — $3.49 instead of $9.99. Feels right. Who doesn’t love a good old space shoot-em-up?
– Atari 50 blah blah: Digital Expanded? Anyway, it’s $29.99 from $49.99. Fancy.
– Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition — for $2.49 down from $9.99. Come on, channel your inner Deckard.
– Bread & Fred — $8.99, originally $14.99. No relation to my weird neighbors.
And there I go losing my train of thought. Oh yeah, Bubsy: Paws on Fire! Discounted to $4.99 from $24.99. That game sure got paws, probably on fire. Or maybe I’m just imagining things.
Then there’s RollerCoaster Tycoon stuff — Adventures Deluxe for $19.99 (was $39.99) while the Classic is $18.74 from $24.99. Cheaper than a trip to Disneyland, right?
Oh, we’ve got classics — Centipede and Tempest 4000 at prices like $3.49 and $3.99 respectively. Kind of makes you think if aliens were this cheap, the world might be a better place.
And who could forget Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster for $16.49 from $29.99. Not me, apparently. Diving deep into the Force, one discount at a time.
I could go on — and I will, just maybe not today. Long lists put me to sleep, but there’s more up there in the ether, ready to snatch from the eShop. So if you’re like me, perpetually distracted but hopelessly hooked on deals, this sale’s your gold mine! Remember, don’t lose track of time (easier said than done) because before you know it, poof, the sale’s over. Happy hunting, or you know, whatever!
By the way, is it just me, or do digital sales have a way of making you feel strangely alive? Or maybe that’s just my coffee talking.
