Matt Ryan, ya know, the dude who was Edward Kenway in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag? Yeah, so he recently had this kinda wild convo with a fan. Like, out of the blue, he might’ve hinted at a reason to dust off that old pirate game again. He was at one of those convention signings, just chillin’, and somehow fans thought he might be teasing a remake or remaster. Not sure what was going through his mind, maybe just trying to be cool or something. But, uh oh, Ubisoft didn’t find it too funny — they apparently waved the legal flag at him after folks saw the convo online. Guess someone recorded it, whoops?
Anyway, there’s this TikTok vid from user kylo_hd659 where they met Ryan at Comic Con Manchester. He’s at his table, probably surrounded by all sorts of cool merch, and when chat turned to a Black Flag remaster, Ryan kinda spilled the beans. Imagine that moment — he was being all open, free as a bird, but didn’t know someone was recording. Classic mistake, right? Now he’s all zipped up, mum’s the word.
Ryan’s pointing at the camera now, so he’s definitely on alert. Maybe it’s his new way of saying, “Hey! Stop pestering me about stuff I can’t spill on!” Clever? Maybe. We’ll see if Ubisoft has a say; reached out to them for a comment. Fingers crossed they answer back with something juicy.
And speaking of Ryan, he hasn’t really gone back to the Assassin’s Creed world or gaming since Black Flag days. He’s been super busy being John Constantine, hopping around in all those DC Comics projects. Legends of Tomorrow, the animated stuff – he’s been everywhere. Hey, does anyone else think James Gunn should bring him back for the new DC Universe movies? Just a suggestion, but come on, it would be awesome. Just do it, James, for me. Thanks!
