Okay, so picture this: we’re on this epic quest in Elden Ring Nightreign, right? I join this band of Nightfarers or whatever, and we somehow manage to take down the crazily intense Everdark Sovereign version of Adel, Baron of Night. Honestly, during all this chaos, it just hits me—I never really get the chance to thank the folks who helped me out. Or, like, even say sorry if I totally messed up. You feel me?
And this dude Vic, let me tell you, he’s a Raider who deserves a round of applause or something. He actually landed the final blow on Adel all by his lonesome while me and another mate, Ironeye, were face-first in the dirt, almost KO’d by Adel’s whirlwind wackiness. Think of us like the most pitiful audience ever, witnessing Vic’s combat wizardry from the sidelines.
Anyway, after Vic smashed open the Gaping Jaw with his massive hammer—seriously, the thing’s massive—Ironeye and I finally managed to scramble back to our feet. We’re all dusty and probably looking a complete mess. I quickly dug out my Prattling Pete to mumble a lugubrious “Thank you.” Vic does this silly little jig, I throw in a bow—or a close attempt at one, at least. It’s all so rushed. FromSoft, if you’re listening, please, can we get more chill time post-expedition? It’s like racing the clock with a streaming service trying to auto-play the next episode. I hate that.
So, Elden Ring Nightreign is intentionally kinda anonymous. No chit-chat with strangers. Just go, go, go. Mark the map, race to the next big bad guy or dive into another event. It’s wild but man, a mere 10 extra seconds of calm after a mission? I’m all for it. I’ve got these silly, hard-earned Murk gestures I wanna flaunt, darn it!
I mean, lucky for me, I can shout out a “Thanks” to Vic here on this site, but why not in-game? Especially when I wanna say sorry, too.
Post-game party? Sure, I love spinning around like a top to celebrate our win. But when we fail? Nada. We once took on Heolstor the Nightlord, and let’s be real, I played kinda sloppy. My bad. Left Wylder and I down for the count, pushing our poor Recluse teammate to handle the big boss on her own. She came so close! Heolstor at 5% health! She almost made it happen. Never got to toss a thanks her way. If there were a post-lobby screen to send kudos, man, I’d feel better. Even if Recluse wanted to shake her finger at me for screwing up, I’d take it. A harsh truth, but hey, fair enough.
So, yeah, FromSoft, if you tweak anything in Elden Ring Nightreign, sure, cool, organize the Relics and such. But a little breathing room post-battle? Please, that would be cherry on top for me. I’ve got shout-outs owed, and maybe a few apologies, too.
