Oh, wow. Where to even start with this, right? So, there’s this game called Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist (I mean, what a name) and these folks at Resolute Games just wrapped up their Kickstarter. They snagged, wait for it, over $170k. Mind-blowing, isn’t it?
So, here’s how it kicked off. They went live on June 24th, hoping to scare up a modest $25k. Pretty much blinked, and boom—they hit that in 1.5 hours. Insane, right? Like, who knew people were so hungry for VR MMORPGs? Fast forward a week, and they hit $100k. Why wasn’t I in on this action? Anyway, a bunch of cool stuff got unlocked as they climbed to a grand total of $171,536—bonfire healing systems, more air and earth powers (because who doesn’t need more of that?), some new species you can play as, and all sorts of nifty things like pet abilities. Maybe I’m too easily impressed, or maybe I just never grew out of loving a good fantasy adventure.
So yeah, Eldramoor—ambitious AF, promising this huge world full of biomes, classes, crafting, dungeoning (is that even a word?), and player housing, which sounds pretty sweet. I could go on, but—and this is a total tangent—what I loved most was how they described it. They talk about these five zones, each with its own crazy biome. Like, did someone say treasure hunting? ‘Cause I’m all ears. You’re exploring, and they say you shouldn’t stick to the path—go get lost, find cool stuff. Makes me think of those Sundays when you just wander around places with no real plan. Or maybe that’s just me.
Aaaand here’s the kicker: it’s all about social interaction. Real people, real connections. Guilds, dungeons, PvP (cue competitive side), and all these multiplayer things. There’s something about playing games with friends that hits differently, right? Oh, and they have something called bonfire systems. Feels kinda old-school but in a fresh way? You get what I’m saying.
And heck, raising funds is just one piece of it. Resolute Games knows they need more bucks to truly nail this vision. Makes you wonder how far passion projects can fly without the cash, but hey, they seem to be onto something solid here.
Mark your calendars, though. By December 2026, backers will be in for a treat—whatever that might look like. Quest 3 and SteamVR will see some love. I should really think about getting one of these headsets. Anyway, if this piqued your curiosity, maybe poke around on their Steam page. Or not. Totally your call.
