Okay, here’s the thing. So, Nintendo just dropped this eight-minute overview trailer for Drag x Drive. Yeah, ahead of that Global Jam demo – which is happening on Saturday and Sunday, August 9th to 10th, 2025, in case you forgot, like I almost did.
And oh boy, this was first shown during the whole Nintendo Direct thing for Switch 2 – remember that? It’s this crazy three-on-three online sports game. They call it Drag and Drive (sounds cooler when you say it out loud, by the way). You’ve got to juggle mouse controls with both Joy-Con 2. Seriously, at the same time. It’s like, you steer, speed up, do tricks, and somehow manage to dunk? I mean, who even came up with this?
We got to play it a bit. Loved it, sort of. I mean, it was weirdly fun but, uh, there’s this feeling. Like, are people gonna stick around for it? The controls, though! Dual mouse and Joy-Con – makes more sense once you try it out, strangely. But I’m scratching my head over how it’s gonna keep folks playing long-term. So many unknowns, ya know?
Mark your calendars for August 14th, 2025. That’s when Drag x Drive hits the Nintendo eShop, but only for Nintendo Switch 2 users worldwide. Get ready to download or… sit on the sidelines. Up to you, really.
