Man, so EA and DICE just dropped the trailer for Battlefield 6 (or whatever they’re calling it now). Saw it on YouTube just now. Everything’s all polished and shiny, like they planned this months ago. Yeah, you’d think fans would be yelling with joy, but… not quite.
First off, no release date. I mean, come on! We get these dramatic landscapes and cities all over the world — the States included. And this Pax Armata faction? Sounds fancy, right? But no date on when we can actually dive into this madness.
Oh, and multiplayer — yeah, hold your horses. That’s coming later, on July 31. There’s some grand event planned. Think streamers, live gameplay, and probably a lot of confused faces like mine trying to figure out what’s what. Call of Duty vibe, anyone? Maybe there’s a battle royale in the mix. Or maybe I’m just losing it.
Got nothing on the open beta though, which I was kind of hoping for. I mean, isn’t this when we start drooling over getting our hands on the game?
They’re apparently throwing us into a beta to debate whether weapons are locked to classes. DICE wants everyone to handle every gun. Fans (me included) aren’t exactly thrilled. Sure, we get to mess around with Signature Weapons, but that doesn’t kill the nerves. Feels like sweet chaos.
Picture this: beta playlists, testing our resolve with weapons galore — or lockdown mode like we’re used to. Will it stick around for launch? You got me.
Battlefield 6 has a big mountain to climb. The aim’s something wild like 100 million players. Seriously, after Battlefield 2042… yeah, some of us are still licking our wounds. Here’s hoping this new venture doesn’t leave us hanging. Anyway — where was I? Oh right, fingers crossed, I guess.
