Roblox just threw a curveball into the education game, rolling out this thing called the Learning Hub. It’s supposed to cover everything from math to English, even computer science, and who knows what else down the line. Oh, and they’ve teamed up with BBC Bitesize for a geography thing called Planet Planners.
Rebecca Kantar, the big shot over at Roblox education, mentioned—like right around when kids ditch school for the summer—that this Learning Hub thing is like an easy-access spot. Imagine it as this new front door where kids can dive into making games or brush up on stuff they’ll need when school’s back. The goal? Make learning interesting enough that you kind of forget you’re even doing it.
Then there’s Oonagh Jaquest from BBC Bitesize who’s all about making sure learning actually connects with kids. And yeah, games are kind of perfect for that. They’ve crafted something where kids can wander through different places, make choices, and see what happens in a way that kind of mimics reality. Also, apparently, they can do this as a class, which is cool if you’re into team stuff.
Oh, and they’ve also got a new Licensing Hub. But, like, why do all these things have “Hub” at the end? Anyway, back to whatever I was saying…
