Sure thing, here it goes:

Okay, so Nintendo just dropped some news that’s kinda exciting if you’re into Splatoon 3. Or, I guess, even if you’re not? I dunno, it’s a big deal for some folks. Anyway, there’s a free update coming, and it’s supposed to hit the Nintendo Switch—you know, the original and the newer Switch 2—this Thursday. That’s June 12th, by the way.
Here’s the fun bit: this update (they’re calling it version 10.0.0, but who’s keeping track?) is dropping a whole new Splatlands collection. That means 30 new weapon kits. Yep, you heard me right. And guess what? They’re from Barazushi and Emberz, which—if you’re a Splatoon fan—makes sense. If not, just smile and nod.
Also, remember Urchin Underpass from the old Wii U days? Yeah, they’re bringing that back into the mix. A blast from the past, I suppose. Wonder why I remember that stage so distinctly. Maybe it’s the name? Urchins are kinda funky creatures.
Oh, talk about leveling up—literally. They’re upping the Freshness caps on weapons, which sounds like a deodorant ad, but no, it means you can earn new badges. And there’s this new thing called Series Weapon Power. Tracks how good you are with each weapon based on wins and losses. Sorta feels like they’re trying to get all analytical on us. Anyway—wait, where was I? Right, so it matches you with other players who are equally good (or maybe bad?) with similar weapons. Experiment without the fear of getting squashed—big yay for that.
And there’s something in it for Switch 2 users. Apparently, you get snazzier visuals, especially in spots like Splatsville (such a fun name, Splatsville). For those worried about compatibility, breathe easy. Players on both versions can still paint the town red—or ink it, I guess.
So, Splatoon 3, it’s available everywhere now, both in stores and the eShop. And there you have it. A non-update-y update but still, might be worth checking out if you’re into splattering virtual paint.
Was that too rambly? Hopefully not. Or maybe it was, who knows.
