So, guess what? Some folks are getting this new feature on their PS5, and I’m kinda intrigued. It’s like a special card thingy in the Welcome Hub that shows stuff about the games you’ve been playing. Sounds simple, right? But hey, sometimes simple is what we need.
Now — hold up, before I dive into the details — they’re saying this is a beta version. You know, not everyone’s gonna see it yet. Some lucky ducks are already posting pics online. Jealous much? Yeah, me too.
Alright, so what does this card show? A bunch of random but somehow fascinating stuff. Game progress in percentages (which always makes me feel more productive, oddly enough). Trophy stats, and it even highlights that one rare trophy you snagged, makes you feel kinda special.
Then there’s time played. But, remember how Sony’s tracker has been a bit wonky before? I don’t know if they’ve sorted that out. Maybe, maybe not. Fingers crossed, right? Oh, and it tells you which of your buddies are playing the same game, which is either cool or creepy, depending on how you look at it.
Screenshots? Yep, it counts those too. Probably even the automatic ones when you earn a trophy unless you’ve derailed that setting.
This widget is like a neat little collector of all these scattered bits from the PS5 interface. Makes it easier to find, I suppose. And just so you don’t worry: this update doesn’t need a download or anything annoying like that. It just pops up in the Welcome Hub like, “Surprise!”
Yeah, I know. Sounds kinda cool, but also kinda whatever. Anyway, hope it rolls out to everyone soon so we can all join the fun. Or chaos. Who knows?
